WHY

After receiving a few reports of dogs experiencing nausea and diarrhea, a private test was conducted showing that the aforementioned lots tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.

And while healthy dogs and cats rarely suffer from serious infections as a result of this organism, Listeria monocytogenes can result in often serious – and sometimes fatal – infections in people with lowered immune systems — children and the elderly being especially susceptible.

THREAT LEVEL

Medium.

As of now, no human illness has been reported in relation to the contaminated products. However, while no humans have been reported sick,  people with any of the aforementioned products in their home should proceed with caution.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • Dispose of any unused product IMMEDIATELY
  • Keep an eye out for the symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes (high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea)
  • Call Bravo for any additional information: (866) 922-9222
